Recipient Could Not be Reached

To prevent people hijacking your e-mail account and sending e-mails claiming to be from you, it is necessary to authorize the use of the e-mail address.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

receivingperson@theirdomain.net' on 12/4/2006 3:36 PM

550 You must check your mail from this IP or SMTP Auth before sending to receiving person@theirdomain.net

 

Resolution

Make the following setting in your Outlook:

  • Use ml.yourdomain.??? for both the SMTP and POP server
  • SMTP port 1125
  • username is username@yourdomain.???
  • your password
  • Outgoing (SMTP) Mail requires authentication / use same settings as incoming mail server.
